March 4
Ladies Self Defense Workshop
Time: 9:30am to 12:30pm
How many times have you heard things like, “Poke him in the eye” or “Knee him in the groin?” Believe it or not, these skills really do work, but when was the last time you actually practiced them? This workshop will take “unpracticed” knowledge you already have and turn it into a quick and simple method of self-protection. You will learn techniques for a standing attack as well as on the ground, “Hands on” practice, basic weaponry defenses, and much more, all under expert instruction from Kevin Durio. Spring Break Horse Camp
Time: 9:00am to 1:00pm
Spring time is the best time to be outdoors and learn about horses! This camp is all about learning new riding skills like barrel race and flag race. Fee: $150, Includes instruction and lunch per day

11th Annual Cordillera Cup
Format: Ryder Cup Format (Four-Ball, Foursome and Singles)
Entry Fee: $175, Includes food, tee-gifts and bragging rights
Friday Night Pairings Party, 5:00 to 6:30pm

Time: 5:00 to 7:00pm, Happy Hour
5:00 to 8:00pm, Dinner Reservations
Join us on the patio for happy hour specials and live music, followed by a Surf and Turf prix fixe coursed dinner in the dining room. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail while listening to Bernie Martini and Trio. Dinner reservations are recommended from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Blockbuster Demo Day
Time: 9:00am to 3:00pm
Come and try the hottest and best golf equipment available in the industry! Companies represented include TaylorMade, Callaway, Titleist, Ping, Cleveland, PXG, Bridgestone, Cobra and more. Special discounts apply to all merchandise purchased that day. We are also offering you a chance to do some serious “spring cleaning.” A representative will be available with specific trade-in values for your old equipment. This is a great way to try new products, get fit properly, purchase equipment at a great price and trade in your old clubs.

Texas Towne Matches
Inter-Club matches will be held at BlueJack National and Miramont. Cordillera Ranch members will be competing against members from some of the finest clubs in the Southwest. The team is made up of the top finishers in the MGA Cup Points race that ended in October of last year. Contact the Golf Shop for more information.

Easter Eggstravaganza
Time: 10:30am to 1:30pm
Come out to the Equestrian Center for an “egg-stravagant” afternoon of Easter fun! There will be an egg hunt at 11:00am, an Easter Bunny photo opportunity, petting zoo, hay rides, balloon twisters, face painting and a DJ, along with lunch and drinks available for everyone. Easter Brunch

Spring is in the air and Easter Brunch is on the menu. We’ve gathered some of the tastiest options for your special Sunday! Kids will enjoy a special appearance by the Easter Bunny and adults can enjoy a mimosa or two. Entertainment will be by Bernie Martini and Trio. This is sure to be a brunch you won’t want to miss!

Fall has been a busy season for the Agronomy team. This important season kicks off after all the fun of the Ladies’ Ranch Roundup, when we begin our greens aerification process. At the conclusion of this process in October, we have now seen the extraordinary benefit of the deep vertical slicing (Graden device) coupled with the normal aerification of punching holes and backfilling with sand.

A long-standing interest of mine has been the benefits of using honey and bee keeping. I have enjoyed honey since I was a child and there are many benefits of having honey in your diet. Honey contains a variety of nutrients, it’s rich in antioxidants and is better for blood sugar levels than regular sugar. Research has shown it to promote heart health, promote burn and wound healing, and help suppress coughing with children.

From watching golf tournaments on TV with my family to going out to the driving range with my dad during my High School years while on the Golf Team, everything I associate with golf has been positive. I decided to attend the University of the Incarnate Word and major in Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Business. Fusing both my passion for fashion and love for the game of golf, the golf merchandising path was the perfect path for me.
