Fall Clinics on the Ranch

Fall is the perfect time to sharpen your skills, perfect your game and enjoy a little friendly competition on the course and courts!

THE GOLF CLUB

Golf Clinics are designed for all skill levels, and are open to Full Golf, Limited Golf 

and Ranch members. Rental clubs are available upon request. Please register through the Player Development section on the website, app or by emailing Katie Dillard at kdillard@cordilleraranch.com.

Chicks & Sticks
Tuesdays, September 12 – October 17
(No session October 3)
Sessions: 10:00am and 4:00pm
Coaching & Playing Sessions: 1 hour
Fee: $40

This is a 5-week course focusing on all areas of the game. On the fifth session, we will test our new skills on the golf course and learn valuable on-course skills. 

Guys Golf
Thursdays, September 14 – October 19 
(No session October 5) 
Sessions: 4:00pm
Coaching & Playing Sessions: 1 hour
Fee: $40

This is a 5-week course focusing on all areas of the game. On the fifth session, we will test our new skills on the golf course and learn valuable on-course skills. 

Junior Golf
Cordillera Linkstars Fall Semester
Wednesdays, September 6 – October 25 
Couching Sessions: 5:00 to 6:00pm 
Playing Sessions: 5:00 to 7:00pm
Ages: 6-14  ::  Fee: $500 for the semester

This is a 7-week course focusing on all areas of the game. On the third and seventh sessions, players will test their new skills on the golf course in a 9-hole challenge based on their skill level. Scheduled rain date for October 25. 

Cordillera Lil’ Linkstars Fall Semester
Thursdays, September 7 – October 26
Coaching Sessions: 5:00 to 5:45pm
Playing Sessions: 5:00 to 6:00pm
Ages: 4-6  ::  Fee: $350 for the semester

This is a 7-week course focusing on all areas of the game. On the third and seventh sessions, players will test their new skills in a 3-hole challenge based on their skill level. Scheduled rain date for October 26.

THE  TENNIS CLUB

Clinics are designed for all ages and levels, and provide the perfect opportunity for kids and adults to strengthen their skills, stay active and make new friends. Please register by calling the Tennis Shop at 903.918.6163.

Tennis Clinics for Littles 
Every Monday and Wednesday
September to December
Sessions: 4:30 to 5:30pm
Ages: 4-6  ::  $28 per class; $750 for semester

This is a great clinic for your little one to learn the basic fundamentals of tennis and gain hand-eye coordination, fine tune large motor skills, and stay active. 

Tennis Clinics for Juniors
Every Tuesday and Thursday
September to December
Sessions: 4:00 to 5:30pm
Ages: 7-12  ::  Fee: $35 per class; $850 for semester

Tennis Junior Clinics are a great way to get your child or grandchild out and active twice a week. This is a fun and competitive tennis clinic, which incorporates drills, games and match play. 

Tennis Clinics for Teens
Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
September to December
Sessions: 5:30 to 7:00pm
Ages: 13-18  ::  Fee: $35 per class; $850 per semester

This Tennis Clinic is designed for teens! It is a competitive tennis clinic that will keep your tennis skills sharp and your tennis game on point.

Coed Tennis Clinic
Every Saturday
Sessions: 9:00 to 10:30am
Fee: $32 per player

All levels are welcome as we learn stroke production, participate in play-based drills and play tennis-based games. Taught by Joe De Luna.

Pickleball 101
Every Tuesday
Sessions: 8:00 to 9:00am
Fee: $30 per player

For pickleball beginners, come learn about the game with Alejandro Chong.

Pickleball Drill and Play 
Every Wednesday and Friday
Session: 8:00 to 9:00am
Fee: $32 per player

For those with pickleball experience who want to fine-tune their game and enjoy friendly competition with other enthusiasts, this clinic is for you. Taught by Alejandro Chong.

Amenity Reservations on the Ranch

Cordillera Ranch offers a variety of amenities for property owners and the new POA website allows online reservations for those amenities. To place a reservation request, simply log into the Cordillera Ranch POA website at www.cordilleraranchpoa.com, use the drop down on the For Residents tab and select Reservations, which lists the multiple amenities available. Property owners will then need to select which amenity they wish to reserve, and fill out the online form. The completed form is sent to the POA to review, at which time the POA will approve or deny the request. Once a decision has been made by the POA, the property owner is notified.

Where Do You Spend Your Time?

I recently read a story retold by the father of a young family of three that included himself, his wife and their young daughter. According to his recounting, after dinner they were each challenged to share an object symbolic of how they would describe one another to a stranger. When it was the daughter’s turn to share the item she thought to be representative of her father, she produced a cell phone.
