Fall Golf Clinics at The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch

The professional golf staff is always delighted and proud to assist our golfers, whether seasoned or beginners, in the development of their skills, and most importantly, the enjoyment of the game. Fall is just around the corner with clinics scheduled for guys, gals and kids of all ages.

CHICKS & STICKS FALL 2022

These clinics are for all lady golfers, with instruction covering all areas of the game. Every three weeks we will have a “play” session where we venture onto the golf course and apply our new skills. This is a relaxed environment, full of encouragement. The Club will provide clubs to those who need them, and Ranch members are welcome. Please register weekly through the “Player Development” button on the app.

• Open to all abilities

• $35 per instructional session and $70 for on-course “play” sessions

• Attend as many or as few sessions as you like

• Register by 8:00am for the morning session and 2:00pm for the afternoon session

• Should a session be cancelled due to weather, participants will be notified by 3:00pm

• Limited space available

FULL SWING: September 20, 10:00 to 11:00am, 4:00 to 5:00pm

PUTTING & GREEN READING: Tuesday, September 27, 10:00 to 11:00am, 4:00 to 5:00pm

PLAY: Tuesday, October 4, 10:00am to 12:00pm, 4:00 to 6:00pm 

CHIPPING & PITCHING: Tuesday, October 18, 10:00 to 11:00am, 4:00 to 5:00pm

BUNKERS: Tuesday, October 25, 10:00 to 11:00am, 4:00 to 5:00pm

PLAY: Tuesday, November 1, 10:00am to 12:00pm, 4:00 to 6:00pm

GUYS’ GOLF FALL 2022

LIL’ LINKSTARS FALL 2022

This program is for junior golfers, ages 4-6, and is designed to prepare junior golfers for the Linkstars program. Instruction will cover all areas of the game and students will also apply their new skills in 3-hole challenges. The Club will provide clubs to those who need them, and Ranch members are welcome. Please register for the semester by 5:00pm on Friday, September 2 through the “Player Development” button on the app or by emailing Katie Dillard.

• Open to all abilities • Ages 4-6  

• Students will be coached based on skill   

• $350 for the semester, billed to the member account

• Register by 5:00pm on Friday, September 2

• Should a session be cancelled due to weather, participants will be notified by 4:00pm

• If a session is cancelled due to weather, we will make up the session on November 3

LINKSTARS FALL 2022

This program is for all junior golfers, ages 6-14, from beginner to scratch and is designed to build golfers for life. Each week we will learn a new skill, whilst practicing other areas of the game, and every few weeks students will be testing their skills on the course in a 9-hole challenge. The Club will provide clubs to those who need them, and Ranch members are welcome. Please register for the semester by 5:00pm on Friday, September 2 through the “Player Development” button on the app or by emailing Katie Dillard.

• Open to all abilities • Ages 6-14

• Students will be coached based on skill

• $450 for the semester, billed to the member account

• Register by 5:00pm on Friday, September 2

• Should a session be cancelled due to weather, participants will be notified by 4:00pm

• If a session is cancelled due to weather, we will make up the session on November 2

Fall has been a busy season for the Agronomy team. This important season kicks off after all the fun of the Ladies’ Ranch Roundup, when we begin our greens aerification process. At the conclusion of this process in October, we have now seen the extraordinary benefit of the deep vertical slicing (Graden device) coupled with the normal aerification of punching holes and backfilling with sand.

A long-standing interest of mine has been the benefits of using honey and bee keeping. I have enjoyed honey since I was a child and there are many benefits of having honey in your diet. Honey contains a variety of nutrients, it’s rich in antioxidants and is better for blood sugar levels than regular sugar. Research has shown it to promote heart health, promote burn and wound healing, and help suppress coughing with children.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been around the game of golf. From watching golf tournaments on TV with my family to going out to the driving range with my dad during my High School years while on the Golf Team, everything I associate with golf has been positive. I decided to attend the University of the Incarnate Word and major in Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Business. Fusing both my passion for fashion and love for the game of golf, the golf merchandising path was the perfect path for me.
