The Swim Club at Cordillera Ranch is the place to be for sunning, relaxing, dining, exercising, playing games and simply enjoying the pleasures of summer.

As the summer heats up and the pools open, the Swim Club provides the ideal setting to escape. Perfectly perched on one of the highest points of the Ranch, overlooking the Guadalupe River Valley, the Swim Club offers awe-inspiring views and a casual atmosphere for entertaining. Sun worshippers and recreational swimmers alike will be refreshed by the turquoise waters of the pool, or escape to the adults-only negative-edge pool for pure relaxation and a refreshment from the new El Norte Patio Bar. Kids will have a great time playing in the Kiddie Pool and taking a ride down the water slide. And while lounging by the pool, enjoy poolside service from our staff.

Name That Tune Night
June 22, July 20, August 10

Name That Tune is Back, and we have some reigning champions ready to defend their titles! Sit back and enjoy refreshing beverages while showing off your trivia skills by guessing song names. We will have themed nights paired with the Retro Movie showing. Tunes to include TV themes, Country, and Top 40 from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s.

Fun in the Sun
Game time at the Swim Club provides laughs and a little friendly competition for all ages! Pop out of the pool and test your skills at a variety of entertaining activities for a chance to win a prize. Games include Duck Races, Giant Jenga, Limbo and more, and will be ongoing at the pool during all hours of operation.

Family Movie Nights and Retro Movie Nights are back!

We will offer drink specials, movie packs and popcorn for the whole family to enjoy. Stay around to play Movie Night Bingo for your chance to win some themed prizes. All ages are welcome to participate.

Memorial Day Pool Party
Saturday, May 25, 11:00am to 3:00pm

Kick-off summer at the pool with our annual Memorial Day Pool Party! We will have our DJ playing your favorite summer tunes and cool snow cones to beat the heat. Gather your friends and family for a day of sun-soaked celebrations, and let’s salute the start of summer together! All pool amenities will be available including lifeguards, towel service, and poolside food and beverage service until 8:00pm.

Star-Spangled Pool Party
Saturday, July 6, 11:00am to 3:00pm

Join us for summertime tunes, cool snow cones and family fun while we celebrate the Fourth of July with a splash! All pool amenities will be available including lifeguards, towel service, and poolside food and beverage service until 8:00pm.

Back-to-School Pool Party
Saturday, August 3, 11:00am to 3:00pm

Let’s end our summer vacation with a bang! Enjoy swimming, hula hooping, ping pong, energetic music and other fun activities. All pool amenities will be available including lifeguards, towel service, and poolside food and beverage service from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.

Pool Amenities

From May 29 to August 4, enjoy all pool amenities including lifeguards, towel service, and poolside food and beverage service from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. On the weekends of August 9 to September 1, the pool will be operational with swim-at-your-own-risk from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Fridays, and 12:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Towel service and poolside food and beverage service will be available. September 2, Labor Day, will be swim-at-your-own-risk, and the final day for towel service, and poolside food and beverage service from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Additionally, please note that all pools will be closed every Monday, except for May 27 and September 2.

As you might imagine, usage at the pool fluctuates significantly due to camp schedules, holidays and family vacations. We have established hours based on usage trends and continue to evaluate as the Club and community grow. For your convenience, our staff has been directed to keep the food, beverage and lifeguard services open if we still have members at the pool at 8:00pm. If that is the case, last call for food and beverage will be at 9:00pm and the pool will close promptly at 9:30pm. If no members are present at 8:00pm, the facility will close at 8:00pm as posted.

Amenity Reservations on the Ranch

Cordillera Ranch offers a variety of amenities for property owners and the new POA website allows online reservations for those amenities. To place a reservation request, simply log into the Cordillera Ranch POA website at www.cordilleraranchpoa.com, use the drop down on the For Residents tab and select Reservations, which lists the multiple amenities available. Property owners will then need to select which amenity they wish to reserve, and fill out the online form. The completed form is sent to the POA to review, at which time the POA will approve or deny the request. Once a decision has been made by the POA, the property owner is notified.

Where Do You Spend Your Time?

I recently read a story retold by the father of a young family of three that included himself, his wife and their young daughter. According to his recounting, after dinner they were each challenged to share an object symbolic of how they would describe one another to a stranger. When it was the daughter’s turn to share the item she thought to be representative of her father, she produced a cell phone. At her young age, she wasn’t taking a sarcastic “shot” at her dad, rather, it was how she truly saw him when he was home.
